

Kimberly Brooks is a Contemporary American Painter and new media artist. Brooks’ work is collected internationally and has been featured numerous publications worldwide including Art Ltd., The LA Times, Vanity Fair, Vogue (Spain), Elle, Pen (Japan) and New American Paintings. She has also been showcased in numerous juried exhibitions including curators from Whitney Museum of American Art, Museum of Modern Art, California Institute of the Arts and LACMA.
Her paintings blend figuration and abstraction as a means of delving into personal subject matter illustrated in past exhibitions “Mom’s Friends”, and “Technicolor Summer”. Her recent exhibitions “The Stylist Project” and “Thread” explore fashion as a language in portraiture. Her work is represented by Taylor De Cordoba in Los Angeles. www.taylordecordoba.com.
Brooks teaches at Otis College of Art and Design and also delivers presentations to museums, universities and organizations on range of subjects from painting to “The Creative Process in Eight Stages””. Brooks founded and launched the Arts section of the Huffington Post where she serves as senior editor/curator. She also recently launched the Science section and curates a regular series called “Art Meets Science”. She maintains her studio in Venice, California.
